Re: Pension ?
Yes it is! You will receive contributions off RM which is ‘free money’ and you will get tax relief on your contributions so a £10 per week payment off you only costs £8. You will need something to live on in your retirement and your RM pension however small, will help you along the way.newboy23 wrote:I joined royal mail just over 3 years ago and have stopped paying into the pension, cause I couldn't afford it, I am now in a position to start paying back into it, but have a 2 questions

As you’re in the RMDCP with Zurich you can either ‘freeze’ you pension or transfer it to another one.if i leave royal mail what will happen to the money I've paid in ?

Anyone who starting working for RM and joined the pension scheme before April 2008 will be in the RMPP which has been closed since that date and can't be rejoined.
