I don't know why but it always amuses me when I interrupt someone's piano practice.

I've seen people hiding behind the sofa before today. Must have thought the bailiffs were coming. :chuckle

Quietest Tuesday after a bank hol Monday I can remember, even more strange considering it is an election week. :hmmmm

Put my "B H excess" overtime in for yesterday's scheduled day off being the bank holiday, as did a number of colleagues.

I would love a camera for tomorrow morning to photograph the look on my lino's face, when I more than likely tell lino I will need to cut-off, given the 100% residential call rate for the one day election D2D. :chuckle

Almost forgot, no work time learning.

It irritates me that this continues to happen. At our office, as well as yours, and other local offices besides. It's a case of snatching time on the cheap, wherever it is available. That's not to say that WTLL is always a worthwhile or enlightening use of one's time, but it is what it is, it's meant to keep postal staff aware of what's going on and why, and to provide, where necessary, essential information on health and safety issues, among other types of issue. It's essential, really. It needn't even be 30 minutes long, if it's unwritten policy not to use this time whatsoever, why not cut it down to 15 minutes and have done with it? If Tuesdays are perceived to be such a breeze as to incorporate the time into Tuesday hours, why is it such a hindrance to have WTLL on a Tuesday.

It's pathetic and management ought to be doing something about it instead of brushing it under the carpet.

As for how my day was - quiet on packets, quiet on mail. But not Tuesday quiet, so I was over.

Pretty busy, nearly 30 minutes of lapsing. ended up 1hr 30 over! Also got the fun of delivering a D2D this week advertising a housing development with half million pound houses to an area which is predominantly social housing. I can understand pizza hut, furniture stores etc, but advertising half million pound houses? :whistle
