I know I have asked before RobertT I started in 1985 Been full time since then,55 in seven months any idea what the pension would be ,and lumpsum.I have asked pensions and they don't want to know,basically I have to jump ship without knowing what I am entitled to,only then will they give me a forecast, :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Your best bet - dig last years statement out. For a rough ballpark figure - then deduct 25%. And 50% for your NRA65. From what I have heard, pensions will not accept your questions until about 6 weeks before.

You need to get your last statement and look under ‘your pension’ and deduct 25% off the NRA60 element and 50% off the NRA65 part. The only problem is that because it's been badly set out, you have to do a bit of working out to decipher which is which.

The part under ‘NRA65 benefits’ is just a guestimate of what you might get if you carried on working for RM until 65 on the same pay and hours as now. So if you leave before then, those figures won’t apply.
