Okay day today, not many packets, mail not great but tolerable. Just all the election stuff and d2ds to make up for it. Finished bang on time. The weather's taken a turn for the better but my fear is it will turn too far towards being too hot, before much more time has passed. I've got my hat, sunglasses and factor 50 ready.

More election leaflets than mail. Not too bad on packets. Very warm day.

Oh the shame, I shall expect a public apology followed by a private Seppuku ritual.

Fantastic day, soaking wet had postal elections for 80% of the houses. on top of that and rent statements for most of the houses (walk is on a council estate) plus packets was heavy for a Saturday. So now sat at home crying with a crate of beer.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Handed my notice in on Friday telling them today (Sat) would be my last day as I had accrued enough holiday to cover my notice period (1 week).
They tried to make me work my notice period as this is how things are done here - I told them this isn't N Korea & the dom may think he's Kim Jong-un but my contract with Sheffield HQ clearly states you use up any accrued days in your notice period, that sent them running of to the big man - one of them came back later saying I could finish as I requested.
My contempt for the so called managers/dom could take no more so something had to give - enjoyed being out delivering meeting people but the stuff back at the depot just hated it - while I struggled to get out because my work hadn't been prepped these so called managers stacked boxes but yorks into line & stood around chatting. Could go on but now free of all that shoite.

First Sunday that I've worked, lots of miles but only a few drops. Beats trying to ward off a hangover I guess.
