I'm 56 with 37 years service just been offered evr. My question is do the figures include all I'm going to get nra60 plus 6 months compensation, or have I also been paying into nra65 and will also be due a percentage of that at 65?
I have been given some figures for EVR from my line manager, does anyone know the process of what happens next. Will I get more accurate figures from the Pensions service before I sign anything.

Re: Evr figures....
The pension you should receive will be what you’ve accrued in your 37 years plus another 37.5% of the service you would have got if you had carried on working until 65. It does include what you’ve built up so far in the NRA65 element of your pension, so you won’t get another chunk at 65.

Re: Evr figures....
If you tell your manager you are interested in taking EVR you will be sent a quote from HR with the actual figures. That will probably take at least four weeks. You will be given 14 days to sign and return it. You are not committed to anything until you return it.
The quote will be for the standard annual pension and lump sum. The lump sum is 3x the annual pension, but you will be given the option of converting some of your pension to a bigger lump sum, or some of your lump sum to a bigger pension.

Re: Evr figures....
I've just sent my signed paper work back, my offer was 9 weeks pilon + 6 months pay + pension. Talked with the solicitors friday, the pension printout gave me 3 options but there was only one option on my paper work, they said the pension people will contact me separately and I still have 3 choices. I did look into my pension at 58 just to see what it would be and the increased offer is a lot more.pj2001 wrote:I'm 56 with 37 years service just been offered evr.
