Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Garbage!
Out on a duty that is around half an hour over it's apparent span as well as a double starburst.
This company is going backwards fast.

Royal Mails answer to it will be that it is the man that's slow, not the duty being too big. They argue this all the time in our office. Doesn't help when you get someone cutting corners to get done earlier.Dazsw wrote:Garbage!

Snow on the ground for the first hour followed by flurries off and on but melted on the paths. Bitter cold around freezing all day.
Got my head down and got finished asap. Sun came out driving home.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
There's apparently time for lapsing, but not time for 30mins national standard work time learning.
If I get back <30mins early for delivery having done lapsing (or simply doing my own walk), I cannot claim overtime, or go home there and then without managers wanting me to flex.
How does that work?
Worried if you gave us the WTLL for a change, we might refuse lapsing or simply bring it back (having informed managers it might be unachievable in the morning), through lack of contract hours to do it?

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Pretty busy, arrive at 8:20am (I'm back on part time hours) to a tray of flats, second wave of mail & two packet bags to prep.
20 minutes late in getting out.
Had a strange thing happen today, while out on delivery a mother & auntie & her flock of weans asked if me they could take a photo of their weans standing next to a real life postman as they had just posted letters in the nearby postbox. Bizzare, but if it makes the little uns happy!

Busiest day of the week so far for me, let's hope it's a nice quiet one tomorrow.

Saturday was absolutely dead, but on Monday we were really busy including all the Valentine's cards which should have arrived on Saturday. Today, really quiet again.

Dead on mail, few large packets and the usual daft amounts of specials and tracked that ruin a light day
We'll pay for it the rest of the week now

Only person in the office doing just their contracted hours(as far as I'm aware anyway)
Straight in ,tied up,first and last this week,as everyone else had wtll.as it had started and I was given no instruction I carried on tying.

Two quiet days. Sun came out today which was a surprise.
