Wonder if anyone can shed some light on this situation.
I posted a parcel using ISF to Spain.
The day after I posted it, the tracking said that it's been dispatched to Hong Kong! I called RM who said that it's been mis-sorted and would be sent from HK to Spain.
A couple of days later I track the parcel on the Spanish postal web site and it says it's arrived in Spain... great
But it's been stuck at the same point in Spain for a couple of days now - at the international hub.
So, what I'm wondering is if the parcel is now treated as a non-EU import because it came from HK? Of course it doesn't have a customs declaration on it, because it doesn't have to. I'm just wondering how incoming international mail is handled in cases like this. If it came from HK, how would the Spanish know that it actually was posted within the EU?
