Very steady Wednesday
Bulk posting of Studio catalogues to deal with, told we had until Saturday to shift them but we did them all today
Off for the rest of the week and next now

It looked REALLY bad at first today....heavy catalogues, packets, extra sorters, extra nights etc,but when it came to the actual delivery we had plenty of gaps so it went well and managed to finish an hour early....so all in all a good day!

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
I job share so finished Christmas Eve and went back this morning, 2nd January. I found out staff had been sent home on Saturday and Monday because of the snow, causing a backlog of mail, which was further hindered by having Thursday off, so returned today to mountains of the stuff
Loads was already thrown into the prep frame, with other mail stacked up round my feet in boxes. Line manager told me to throw a bit more out, then bundle up what had been prepped, so looks like the rest will be going tomorrow. We left loads of packets in a York. I'll be surprised if they have gone, I'm expecting them to still be there tomorrow.
Then to cheer me up even more, someone told me five door to doors are expected next week

The usual post xmas catalogues. Not much in the way of parcels today. Cold all day.

Well that was busy today, mountains of packets and catalogues, suppose that's the trade off for having the 2nd January off so can't grumble.

Next to nothing on today. Did bits of lapsing here and there, plus a row of another walk, all on overtime. Unusual for a Saturday after xmas that it was quiet. Week off now.

15 boxes of flats on my shared delivery today, the plus side is that they were not loose and did not need to be sorted I suppose. Not many letters or bulk though so all in all not toooo bad.
