Sod of a day, and to make matters worse, not only have we got D2D's next week on the busiest week of the year, but one of them is a half-inch thick Red Cross envelope containing coasters and a pen. The slots will be full before we've chucked a single letter in. Congratulations to which ever genius agreed to that

Got out at 10 and got back at 430, along with couple of other walks. Poor sod, one of the lads doing extra had just loaded van up with oversized and still 2 more yorks of oversized packets left in office, don't know what time he's going to finish.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
We had these last december. Can't imagine doing them this time of year though, we'd need 4 or 5 bags per loop. They came in november this year and I just took them all loose in my bag, only way of doing it really.ShropshireLad wrote:Sod of a day, and to make matters worse, not only have we got D2D's next week on the busiest week of the year, but one of them is a half-inch thick Red Cross envelope containing coasters and a pen. You'd think there'd be a size limit for D2Ds considering those things are literally packets rather than mail.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Guy asked me yesterday what I drank at Christmas (He's about 9 doors into my loop) and the thought of trying to balance a bottle or cans into an already overflowing bag led me to admit to being tee-total.
Aye-right.
Aye-right.

Easy 8 hours docket today doing parcels and the callers office. Did the Sunday collection yesterday which was a nightmare.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
It was ok today. Mail very light other than packets which is expected.
Still went 40 mins over (OT) but a chilled walk around in the sunshine.
Back to cutting off tomorrow no doubt.
