A very strange day got sent to another office then on to another one and then believe it or not on to another one in total 80 miles you couldn't make it up I spoke to my DIM and he wasn't happy as my office is short but he got told to send somebody for 3 days but it turned out the other office only needed somebody for 2 days and therefore got sent on a merry go round

Haven't been one to cut off so far, but if they are starting to play funny buggers I may have to start.

If you can do half a walk on overtime and still finish within duty time ; do you see a problem?

I think Heapsy means within the overtime hours agreed - I know him and he doesn't take prisoners where getting paid for what he does is concerned :nana

I love recipients that seem to think they postie protocol better than I.

I'm not going to open a visibly shut porch door that has a letterbox. That is the point of delivery.
I'm not going to give you your parcel on the street.
I'm not going to walk back to your house to give you the parcel, when I'm expecting to go over by some margin. You had your minute to respond to the two knocks spread out over that minute.
Yes, insult me when I don't back down, that will make me change my mind... or will I simply walk away before I say/do something I regret.
Please report me, I've been very naughty postie and followed delivery/security protocol!

What I meant was that I didn't go over the extra hours paid. Read the post properly. We have really big walks in our office. The 2 and a half hours I got paid was worked. None of this getting home at 12 and being paid till half 2 nonsense we read on here. It was gone 4 in the afternoon when I finished and I got a big thanks from the gaffer as he was right in the s**t.

Wowee. How many hours of delivering was that? I'm a bit of an OT hound myself, but even I'd baulk at anything approaching 10 hrs on the street! Don't let them take advantage of you - they won't give a monkeys if you work yourself into an early grave.

The post was read.; properly. Maybe one of the issues with social media (of any description) is that things that are typed are taken as literal. No room to wiggle (and that is not me taking the whatsit)

Long hard day. Not enough staff doing what needs to be done. The last revision really didn't work and we are still paying the price. I predict a melt down in a few weeks. :cuppa

Had my head down looking where I was going to avoid the condom.
Walked straight into a spider's web.
It was that sort of day.
