A MAN who stole dozens of parcels has been handed a suspended prison sentence.
Alexander Haynes, aged 24, admitted theft of 65 packages of an unknown value from a delivery company.
He took the parcels from Yodel in Newton Abbott on December 10, Plymouth magistrates heard.
Haynes, of Turret Grove, Mutley, had earlier pleaded guilty to theft and the court adjourned sentence for a probation report.
He was handed a 100-day prison sentence suspended for 12 months under probation supervision with 100 hours unpaid work.
Haynes must also do an employment and training course.
Magistrates ruled that the theft was significant and in breach of trust.
Haynes was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £80 victim surcharge
