bag weights?

Anyone got a link to current weight /guidelines?

Took trolley as a bag felt heavy today...well a few did

Heaviest was 14 kg and would have involved approx half a mile with not massive steps but steps all the same.

If you are using a HCT then bag weights are irrelevant.
If you are using a LWT then it carries 16kg each side.

Once assigned the use of delivery method equipment is mandatory.

If you have flats etc where a bag is the appropriate method of delivery then 5 or 8 kg.

All bags/trolleys should be weighed before leaving the DO.

Where does all this happen? Haven't seen a bag weighed by anybody ,or challenged by a manager in many years.

Was convinced 8kg was still on the go

The lovely folk don't make it easy to find the duty schedule

Caught em out a few times

Ended up taking trolley with 14/10/12 etc at a time as I was unwilling to Traverse the terrain with that weight in those bags

Carried more in a previous life
But the weight was even

Heavy but even

Fair enough, so are they going to conduct everyone and dismiss them for gross misconduct? Thought not.
As I said ignored by the majority, therefore the "mandatory " element is not enforced, so has no credibility.
For your information, I never stated that I ignored the equipment, so unless you know me and know how I work , do not accuse me of doing so. Thank you and good night.

I've carried bags so heavy that I have had the straps tear off - in fact it happened again today. Can't complete in time using trolleys. Today was mad. I told lino that we would probably bring the lapsing back. Sure enough rang at 1pm as agreed, got the crap 'you'll have to work to time for the rest of the week now especially Saturday'....(like we'd ever finish this awful pair of rounds early.)
Got back and told him no way can you say that after completing the assigned rounds and leaving the office 10 minutes late - lapsing doesn't come into it and not doing it doesn't class as 'cutting off' especially as we worked slightly over our hours anyway just to complete the rounds. It's ABSORPTION and not doing it because it's not possible in your time does NOT class as 'cutting off'.
On the phone we were cajoled and begged to stay out late to complete it.....NO!

Jeeze! not nice. Not nice at all. But I see the parallel. Had to have an early finisher sent out to us to day to help us get done on time. Only this time we did do the bloody lapsing, but only because it had to be done first due to specials. Our rep's back now so maybe this stupidity will stop. I'm getting tired of the same effing arguments with the linos every time this happens, which is almost daily now.

Apologies for my previous error, the comment was supposed to be directed towards every reader, i.e. compliance starts with you! although reading back could just have well been aimed at spiderj.

Although a decent IR Rep would state that the enforcement is not being fairly applied, the Manager will state that every case is taken on its merits, that the rules have been broken and they will go ahead with their case against that individual.
They don't need to dismiss the entire office, they only need to dismiss one or two individuals before there's a slew of obedient OPG's toeing the line.

Arranged dockett before leaving

Used prescribed tools and methods and know what?

I'm not sore or stressed today

Hope at least one person stops carrying too much after reading some of the posts on here
