Packets galore again. 8 specials on a rural within a span of 8 miles. Impossible to get them all delivered by 1 when you have to go miles out of your way from one address to another. Needless to say went an hour over my time.

Sounds like a killer! I hate it when you get loads on a rural and you can't stop thinking about them. I only had 1 special today near the end but on a town round so just went there and got rid of it first to get it off my mind.Barbel wrote:Packets galore again. 8 specials on a rural within a span of 8 miles. Wheens of packets. Just got them all in the HCT!
Pity we didn't have shrink rays, then we could shrink all the packets down to letter box size! Customers could then use their unshrink rays to get the packet back to normal!

Light day regards letters and parcels, no national standard 30mins WTLL, sounds great doesn't it?
But then the walk has 7 D2D this week, took over an hour to prep 8 boxes as per standard Tues, still went over by >45mins despite only taking D2Ds where delivery point had letters/parcels.

Half a walk on overtime, as per yesterday. Got done in the hours paid. Really short on staff so are now interviewing. Will be interesting to see what happens next.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
An average day for us.. packet day was yesterday for us. So a "normal" amount of packets, Specials, Tracked, S/F's and so on, no garden mags or xmas catalogues etc. Had those last week.
What did make me laugh was a local school kicked out at noon today. The schoolkids were all walking home or waiting at bus-stops outside the school with teachers in attendance!
Jeez! The little buggers only went back to school the other week and now they're already having a half day off!

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Heavy day for packets and finished hour over my time. Got payslip today and none of my o/time for last week has been paid.
Haven't been one to cut off so far, but if they are starting to play funny buggers I may have to start.
