embarrassment withn delivering to neighbours

Same people ordering stuff week in week out and the same people knocked up to take parcels and packets for them.
They are starting to get pissed off being harassed everyday and its embarrassing .
I don't bother anymore and only do the one off deliveries

It's a farce really, imagine being disturbed in your home every day to service the needs of someone else who you may not particularly know or like but are too polite to refuse or don't want to create a feeling of animosity with your neighbour.

Royal Mail need to make the public more aware of optout stickers.

As for not doing it because you think its pissing people off, sorry that's not your call, if you think your pissing people off just tell them how to opt out, puts the ball in their court and keeps you right

Why shouldn't neighbours put a charge sticker up in their windows? ..£2 a packet left would be more than reasonable, to Royal Mail of course they are the ones using the service. Business is business.

I was selling myself cheap then The cost of the package and then the handling fee. Just like we charge customers.

The fact Virgin and Dominoes have to send out D2Ds every other week should tell you how short the attention span is of the average consumer.

same here,saturday morning 8.30am no answer from customer looked around all other houses curtains closed no way was i going 2 wake anybody else up,back 2 the office it went.

Delivered a lapsed loop yesterday and was filling out a p739 when a woman across the road was getting in her car and said the people were away to the week end and she would take it in, so I gave parcel to her and dropped note through the addressees door. Got a phone call today from the normal walks postie who said that the people had popped across to collect their parcel from the neighbour and they said they knew nothing about it. Obviously they had either come back early, or I had been given some bllsht from the lady. Should be interesting to see what the consequences of this will be. Any one got any ideas?

Are we supposed to save up parcels or do them one at a time?

On one street I deliver on average I deliver 3 parcels per day and one kind neighbour doesn't mind taking in parcels. Should I knock each house and then visit the neighbour and then rewalk the street to deliver P739's or should I do each one individually and knock the neighbour's house 3 times or should I try different neighbours?

It sounds a silly question but the problem crops in various degrees a couple of times per day and will be most loops when it gets to Christmas.

I despair at the amount of posties who are not willing to do the job properly, if you dont want to do it for a security reason then fair enough i would back you all the way, but just because you dont want to do your job properly is not right, your helping royal mail cut jobs, i hope that people like this will be the ones who volunteer for redundancy if and when they start looking for cuts, let the posties who are willing to do the jobs properly keep there jobs

They're actually helping posties keep jobs because by p739 items it means more work for the people in the collection office therefor protecting the jobs in there. In fact by not knocking neighbours doors they're creating jobs because now offices are opening Sundays so that people can collect parcels. So if they did deliver to neighbours there would be less parcels coming back so less work for locker staff to that would lead to job losses.
