Really heavy day with mail and parcels jammed packed to the rim in the trolley. It was a killer pushing that around in this blazing heat for 3.5 hours. Feel totally fooked now and will be good for nothing for the rest of the day.

Not that bad on Wednesday. Day off yesterday and really needed it with the heat. Late out today with a cull thrown in the back of the van. Long hot day, finishing just before 5pm

Too hot today, and too many odd shaped packets which make my neatly packed trolley look less neat!

Got asked to cover a bit of lapsing today on overtime. I imagined it would just be a bundle or so, I should have heard the alarm bells when the lino said I'd have to return to the office once I had done my own walk as the lapsed wouldn't fit in my hct... Had to do my own delivery, walk back to the office with my trolly, load up with the lapsing, then back out for what was pretty much 3/4 of a whole duty  ... :Boo hoo! So first letter posted today at 9:50am, the last one at 5pm! Got caught in a thunderstorm / uber rain storm as well just after starting my second duty... :d'oh!

Don't think I'll be fit for much tomorrow! :cuppa

Last letter, 5pm on a Saturday evening.
Sorry, but if anything will make us look utterly inefficient, it's that.

Indeed, I agree. However lino asking you to deliver a lapsed duty after doing your own one isn't conducive to having mail arriving at a reasonable time on a Sat afternoon!

Yeah, happens to me too every so often. Sometimes I'm the only one willing to take it out and I've got to finish one duty before I start another. Always have to explain to somebody at the end of the day why there mail is arriving between 5 and 6pm and I explain there's just me and I can only deliver one address at a time - somebody's gotta be the last one getting their mail from me that day!

Did half a walk on ot myself yesterday. Left the office about 16.40. They don't care about times as long as it gets done. The whole, later start, later out the door thing proves this. Cannot understand what the union was thinking when they agreed to this.

Heavier than the last couple of Mondays. Will be claiming half an hour, along with a few others I saw around the same time. Absolutely sweltering again.
