DOG AWARENESS WEEK 2014 - NATIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR WALES - WRITTEN STATEMENT OF OPINION OPIN-2014-0293
As part of the 2014 Joint RM/CWU Dog Awareness Week, Branches in Wales are asked to request that local Assembly Members of all parties sign the 'Written Statement of Opinion' OPIN-2014-0293 "Royal Mail Dog Awareness Week" the content of which is self-explanatory and is reproduced below with a list of those Assembly Members who have already signed.

WRITTEN STATEMENT OF OPINION OPIN-2014-0293

This Assembly recognises that responsible dog ownership is important for protecting communities in Wales, especially postal workers and children.
Welcomes section 106(2) of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 has come into force, extending the responsibility on dog owners to control their dogs and legally protecting postal workers and others from being attacked by a dog on private property including a customer's garden.
Supports the Royal Mail's Dog Awareness Week which seeks to raise awareness of the negative impact dog attacks can have on Postmen and Women across Wales.
