SIP Form of Instruction for the Annual General Meeting

Note to Admin.
If this is in not permissable... namely showing this image then delete it, as people will have copies themselves. I only add it here to aid the questions per-se.

I've just received, in the post, a letter from the Royal Mail Group.
An Attendance Card and Voting Form, as you've also received one by now then you'll know to what I'm referring to.

There are a number of questions with regards to this. mainly to do with the Election of Directors.
Who are they, what and how are they related, if at all, to Royal Mail, with the exception of Moya Greene, I've not heard of anyone at all to be honest and do we get any info on these people to enable us to vote with some sort of confidence in their ability to discharge their duties to the benefit of the shareholders?

Can we, if we all vote together, ie a block vote of all the posties have an effective outcome on any of the resolutions listed?

I doubt very much if I'd be able to get to the meeting, although I think I do have a holiday around that time, so I might well be able to go, but I'd have to check it out and if I do it'll be a new experience for me, having never attended anything like this.

Postal Votes have to be received by the Trustees no later than 5:00pm on Monday 21st July 2014

I chose to get info via email rather than by post so am able to vote online, but I do agree that there doesn't seem to be much/any info on the directors. I have no intention of voting to elect Moya Greene as a director and I suspect not many other posties will either, so there's always the chance that she won't get enough votes.

Anyone going to raise any questions, it appears all unanswered ones on the day will be reviewed by the "Chairman" after the AGM and a reply will be sent out in due course. This could make a great Post on its own right, "what question should be asked" email shareholderquestions@royalmail.com

I'd ask " can you get rid of all line managers because they are not needed any more , so saving lots of ££££££'s and pushing up dividends, please? :Very Happy
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

ive come across many senior managers.............. and they are totally brain washed by the company... money really rules them all... and their silly bonuses.................... there told what to do... its really sad, senior management needs to look at the wider picture with being a successful company.. its not all about money...

One of the proposals is to allow Royal Mail to make financial donations to political parties, They tell us they dont have the money for our incentive scheme which was to be up and running by the end of April but they want to give money to the Tories or Labour. Unbelievable! I voted against almost all the proposals.
