pension at 55
hi I was a postman from 1990 to 1996 and had just over 6 years full time ,next march I will be 55 ,will I be able to take the pension then under the govts recent changes to pensions

You should be able to take your RM pension any time after 55 regardless of the new pension rules that come into effect in April 2015. You will of course take a 25% reduction because you'd be taking it 5 years early(5% per year). You'll be a section c member, so download the relevant brochure here:

If you are referring to the new rules regarding being able to cash in all of your pension fund as cash? They only apply to defined contribution schemes and not the RM final / average salary plan. Although if you have AVC's you may be able to take that money as cash .
