I job share so only work every other week - so at least I have a break from the stress
This coming Monday our office is introducing the new system with prep people, porters and sorters. I'm allocated to portering so I'll see how it goes when I return
I joined this forum a while ago, but I've forgotten my user name and password so had to join again
I've written them down this time

Saturday was a light day.. finally!
Last remnants of election material from houses not delivered to now all done. 7 tracked, 6 specials and 9 S/F's! Only brought back 2 specials and 1 Tracked, everything else done. Finished 10 mins early, where as during the week ran over time by at least 30-45 mins each day, due to election material. Hot and humid but I didn't care as

Cracked my head on a door knob, as I straightened up after delivering to a low letter box.

And after that's all happened, they hear you outside cussing away as you start to stand up and open the door to see what has happened...
and it opens outwards and hits you again!

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Stuck with the biggest conman in the office as driver today. He delivered all his parcels from the van whilst muggins here somehow had no parcels that warranted being delivered the same way. He also tried to swerve doing d2d and as a final insult, tried to take me to help with his ghost overtime.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
We have just started the new way of working with some people on walk prep, some as sorters and some as porters. Today was my first day as a porter, which involves emptying pigeon holes for eight deliveries and taking it round for them (both letters and large flats). Do a bit of my own walk prep, then clear the pigeon holes again. Do some more prep, then clear the pigeon holes again. I'm supposed to have help doing my prep but at the moment seem to be doing most of it myself. Needless to say, I'm falling behind everyone else
Then after I got home I was talking to my set mate on the phone (we job share, it's her week off) and she says we are supposed to drag eight packet bags round as well
I wonder when I'll find time to put door to doors together next week
