A really quick day today.
Turned up for shift, only to notice that I had been scheduled for a day off!
Should have spotted this when I checked the rota last week!

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
I'm expecting today to go like the last 3 working days, pile of mail to sort when I get in, D2Ds not thrown in/thrown in where they have already been done, unable to find a trolley key because they are never put back, only PDA left is one with a knackered battery, manager pulling a face because I'm having to book overtime. I've never worked in such a disorganised mess.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
First day "flying solo" with my HCT route...
Arrived to see a load of parcels and d2ds needing sorted. (And here was me thinking that as a part timer I should arrive to a fully sorted frame?!?)
Eventually left the office at 10:30, returning back at 4:15pm, almost 2 hours after my walk "finish time"
I did phone office when I was near my route finish time for advice, said I'd be happy to continue....
So, last one out, and last one back....
No doubt I'll be asked to speed up tomorrow!
-- Edit -- After a back of an envelope calculation, I was actually only around 25 minutes over my delivery span!
Not bad for a new postie not used to solo delivery with an HCT!

Heaviest day of the year by far.
Been a really bad week but today takes the cake.

Pretty light today. Only a few packets, and less mail. Certainly made the HCT a bit easier to push!

Not too heavy but still didn't get finished on time. These shared van duties are a farce.
