Hectic day ending in a stint in the callers office. Why can't people write something, even the smallest of clues as to what they tried to deliver on the P739 card? And preferably in English!

I'd settle for legible and correct house number, street etc.
Added bonus would be the tracking number.

Amazon, pink plastic, white box etc just the icing on the cake.

It rained followed by more rain. Just 4.5 hours of pushing the trolley around. Hard to find anything good to say about it really.

Other than that I think they paid me 2 hours too much OT for my extended last week. I am saying nowt, feel like I ve earned it. :Very Happy
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

When they don't pay you enough their default position is it must be right, you must be wrong so in this case I would bow to their superior knowledge...it must be right, you must be wrong.

Still trying to figure out, how a full timer does 3 loops in 7hrs and p/timers do 7-8 loops in 5-6hrs.
Oh well, if there wasnt mail left, then we'd all be signing on...getting free housing, free school meals, free hols and flat screens, lol!

Stopped to use a pub's toilet facility.
Dropped the P(ee)DA in the urinal.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It could have been worse.
It could have been a number 2 in the worst toilet in Scotland.
You might have had to go in after it.

Loved the "007 James Bond" van they gave me today. No-way baddies cudda followed me, with the huge plumes of grey smoke trailing behind.
And, if they had tried to follow me up a steep hill, I wudda smashed em with my rear-bumber as I lost power and rolled backwards.
Even parking wudda disrupted their devious Spy plans, as the non-working-correctly hand-brake wudda confused em, as they wouldn't know if I was standing still or moving.

Nope, SMERSH couldn't have ANYTHING as amazing as MY 007 van today.

And, back at HQ, I was told that "It has a slight oil leak.."
Yes, Q...I was expecting that.

So you drove a van that you should have put off the road? Now whose licence was that? :thumbdown

The van had recently came back from the garage, and been given a clean Bill of Health.
Im not a qualified mechanic, but Im amazed it was able to be passed by a Professional Mechanic.
As they say, Dont shoot the messenger...

Its back at the garage again.

Long and busy day. Plenty of wind and some rain and more to follow me thinks.

Long and busy for us too.. got clobbered by a huge deluge and very strong winds for the last hour of our delivery, foul weather gear managed to hold off a lot of that but still got soaked. Poured loads of water out of the last two pouches in the office yard!

I don't think I had ever got so wet on delivery in such a short space of time.

Had just 2 roads to go about 1pm and had suffered a steady light rain throughout the delivery but the waterproofs and the fact I has wearing 3 layers of jacket, a hood and a rain hat had kept me dry. Then the wind really picked up with strong gusts. The last section of road was tough as I was trying to keep the mail bundle under my coat to keep the mail in one piece. The edges were rubbing away on the letters like they always do.

Finally finished and then had the 20 mins walk back with the trolley when the heavens opened. Stopped and took shelter for about 10 mins but there was no escape with the wind whipping it up into a wet frenzy. Slogged on back to the office singing a song over and over in my head to keep going.

Only funny part was watching office workers trying to dash to Starbucks and getting instantly wiped out in the deluge and the looks on their faces. I was beyond caring at this point as I could not be any wetter anyway.

What a crap day !
