It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Royal Mail are saying that we are payed to much and not working hard enough well you dont see other companys such as Marks and Spencer who are proud to pay there staff well and treat them right!!blueshirt001 wrote:the issue of all the above items, start times, breaks, convayance etc has been the main subject matter every time there is a dispute, if its a small local dispute or a major national issue, i have been with royal mail 11 years and here the same cry every month.
WE NEED A NEW TACTIC.
any ideas
Also the regulator has said that until we lose 40% of our mail to the likes of TNT then he will carry on destroying us so we might as well have the battle now and not wait until TNT are strong enough for them to do the mail.
We can not win but if we dont fight now then we will all lose.

Welcome Jon. I was going to stay get stuck in but you have already - a good thought provoking post. However I believe that RM has a hidden agenda and are trying to destroy the power of the union so that they can do what they want with little organised opposition. Like Thatcher and the NUM in the 80s.

Yes vote
i Agree with you all it MUST be a 100% YES vote for industrial action.
I think R/M knew this was going to happen a couple of years ago when SDD came, R/M left the door open for more cuts. They dangled the carrot [job and finish] in front of everyone, so they all tore the job up and the results say it all now. I did warn them this would happen but do they listen.
Everyone must vote yes now to protect our future because it sure does look bleak at the present time.

Thankyou for the welcome I think that you are right they are trying to destroy the union but the diffrence now is that Labour party are in power and if Royal Mail think that they can destroy us they better think again. I am Labour Cllr and also a active member of our union I am also on the Regional Board of the Labour Party and will fight all the way so Royal Mail bring it on I am ready I hope you are!!TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Welcome Jon.
