Opened the van's back door..BANG! Thort I'd gotten hit, but it was the wind.
Same thing when I opened the other door, BANG!!!!

Sliding side door not much better, caused a vortex in the van!
Nearly 70 cut-off parcels to deliver, many Tracked, Recordeds and Specials too.
Long day...

Later, pieces of trees, branches, heavy rain/water flooding the quieter lanes...and a wind it was hard to stand up against.
Not good.

Someone's having a laugh.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Youve used the words, "well-worked-revision" in the same sentence.

I havent seen this at the moment...perhaps the New Year will bring a lovely surprise.

Another manic day in the caller's office, queue out of the door from 6am until I finished at 2..Saying that though, I'd still rather be in there than out delivering.

Easy day for here. My 2 walks mostly prepped before i got in at 8. Was out on delivery at 9.20 and back at 1. Got £25 in tips which is good since i've only been a postie for 10 weeks and only on these 2 walks since last week. The walks don't have a regular guy so people just giving tips to the 1st postie they see.

Bad side is i asked a line manager to check my OT for this week as some days there was not a pressure sheet left out. They have missed 4 hours OT from Monday, he said he will put on today so i get paid 9 hours today but the DOM distracted him so not sure if he wrote it down. Does mean my pay next Friday will be low as Fri/Today already won't be paid then.

Got one of our newer vans to take out today, a Fiat Doblo XL. Terrible example of Italian engineering!

Got another fiver tip too. That's a tenner so far! Guys on the rural duties are raking it in. :mad
