Why does the CWU still give money to the Labour Party.

jaredfThere is a thread on here and a link to withdraw the political fund from your subs if you want. I haven't as I am waiting to see what the Union propose at next years conference.

Hello folks,
Thanks for all your replies.I have never paid my political levy opting out was the first thing that I did when I joined the union.As a socialist I can't support the Labour Party in any way or form.
This arguement about Old Labour and new labour doesn't wash with me.It is all New labour with the interest of big business at heart.The labour party with strong a working class ethos has long gone.I think you will find that Tony Benn is no longer a member of the labour party.
Ted Heath was once asked if he would have fitted into the labour party of TORY Blair.To which he replied he wouldn't have as he was to far to the left.Says it all really.
