Load To Roof?

Could somebody advise on what the maximum safe height a trailer can be loaded to? I seem to be getting told on a regular basis to load trailers "to the roof". This only applies on our shift though and never seems to occur on the day shift. A couple of weeks ago I was told to load no more than 6ft high but when it's busy and there's a problem getting extra trailers this all goes out the window and we have to put ourselves at risk loading trailers "to the roof". I assume this same risk also applies the other end at Coventry, Chorley and the other down south depot. I wouldn't like to have to try and maul boxes that we loaded off trailers that are filled as high as we can get them.

Fill to the level you deem to be safe to work to , if you are climbing over items or items are loose and falling down IHO I would say this to be unsafe.
