2 hours over. Van's not big enough for all the enormous parcels we are delivering atm. The callers office isn't big enough to deal with everything we are bringing back.

Absolutely shite. Finished bang on time at 2pm after cutting off for the last two days.
It's not even December yet and we're already at the point where if we get any more packets than we've had this week they won't fit in the van.
Never mind, it will be some OT for somebody else.

As usual, it was a sh!t end to a thoroughly unpleasant week in Royal Mail deliveries.

Mail and packet on the walks were light on Saturday. Did parcel deliveries later but couldn't complete. Place is rammed full.

Yep, packets/parcels taking over , but no more staff funds to assist in the callers office, even though its busy NOW!
People are buying much earlier than ever, so...the busy time is upon us...to late soon, as the rush will be over.
So many N/A's coming back that people are bringing in 2 or 3 cards at a time recently, for different items.
This means the line is soooooo long that its out of the door and around the corner constantly.
Customer Frustration and Anger all round, aimed at the RM Staff...as always.
SOS...Same Old Shite.

We haven't had a single extra member of staff yet. It doesn't bother me, whatever I can't finish goes back.fishtank wrote:We've had 6 extra packet duties in all week.OnAFlyer wrote:It's not even December yet and we're already at the point where if we get any more packets than we've had this week they won't fit in the van..

I don't know when this will ever stop, things are now so bad that I can only take out one duty at a time...........having to come back to the office to reload after 3 hours.

Not bad.
But, after yesterday, anything would seem easier.
