Singapore Government stake building in Royal Mail shares

It was announced today that GIC Private Limited (the Sovereign wealth fund formerly known as Government of Singapore Investment Corporation ) now own 41,022,465 (4.10%) shares in Royal Mail Group Plc worth £225 million. This stake building is on top of that already declared by Chris Hohn"s The Children's Investment Master Fund who own 58,191,212 (5.82%) shares in Royal Mail worth £320 million.

Other notable investments by GIC in the UK include The Blue Water Shopping Centre and Kelda Group the water and waste management company. At 3:39pm: (LON:RMG) share price was +22.5p at 551.5p

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

no idea about the postal system however the size is very similar to London. So i'd imagine it's just like delivering to london only (with a few more Hi-Rise!)

So probably very cost effective not having too many sparsely populated areas.
