Just today received my contract but it states that it is for 3 months Your contract will be Fixed Term with an end date on 27th Jan, is this normal will I be kept on?

More than likely, unfortunately this is the way the business is going, it will be renewed every 3 months so when the time comes for redundancies you will be entitled to nothing!

Thanks for the reply, next question, it says 'For fixed term contracts over 3 months only - Ordering your uniform' and goes on to explain how to order your uniform, does this mean I will receive no uniform? In that case what would yous suggest is best to wear?

I will be honest I have never done delivery so would know the best stuff to wear. I would at least try to order uniform as as far as I'm aware you still get uniform, but that will take around a week to arrive!

You will still get uniform but it will take up to a few weeks to arrive. You can order online but you need your pay number first.

As we are heading into winter you'll need warm and waterproof gear. Substantial shoes, or decent boots would be a good idea. Don't wear Jeans they are the worst choice when it gets wet. Take a hat or cap with you, and if snow is forecast try to get hold of some grips. Work do have them, but I have never known them to have enough.

Take a drink with you as well as you'll need to keep your energy levels high, especially in deep snow. Take a snack bar as well for the same reasons.

Also suggest a few walks if you're not fit to get your body used to it, and alwso to wear in new shoes - you'll be walking up to 9 miles a day on some duties.
