Huge fall in share price

Post by wandle »

OK, relax, all those that purchased shares as part of the Employee Priority Offer, the shares have not suffered a big drop in price.

I just wonder why nobody commented on the fact that the share price did NOT do a massive nosedive, on the announcement of the ballot result, despite predictions on other threads (last week), that it would.

Personally, I foresaw that the price would barely wobble. I mean, the prospectus gave warning to potential investors of the likelihood of a strike, but the flotation was still massively oversubscribed.

So, perhaps this means that the shares will jump in price, if RM come up with a revised offer - before November 4th - that the CWU consider good enough to put to the membership ? :hmmmm

Investors aren't stupid, as you say the strike was hardly a suprise and that was all factored in to any share rises/falls. In the big scheme of things a couple of strike days changes nothing.

There should be a spike in the price once the dispute is settled, unless of course, this also has already been 'factored in'

I have spoken to some tw$ts who work in"the city". The majority agree that RM was sold for at least half price. Expectations are of a share price around £6 within a year MINIMUM.

Those looking for a price dip need to keep in mind that RM will join the FTSE100 within weeks. Large "tracker" type funds, pension funds, etc. need to acquire millions of shares :hmmmm

The next review is Dec 11th, although it appears that the general rule is that prices rise shortly BEFORE the review in anticipation of a stock entering the FT100 and fall shortly after. The reverse is generally correct when a company leaves the FT100.

No "unless of course" about it.. The shares that can be sold ARE running out. This is why the shares are reaching their TRUE value.

But why should any of us on here have any interest in what the share price currently is ?

Yes sold 2/3 of my shares at £4.99 today and as I bought them at £3.30 basically I have acquired the other 1/3 for the measly some of £0.

I bought £10,000 with the intention of selling half early at a small profit and keeping the other half long term, but at £4.99 the price was too good and decided to sell the lot.
