Worried now!!!!
Hi, I am currently just waiting on my pre employment checks which seem to be taking forever!!!! But having read some post on this site it has got me worried about the job security, will they be making drastic cuts? Would it be a case of last in first out?

Not in Royal Mail - if they keep to the agreements we have in place then it tends to be the longest serving that volunteer to leave rather than newer staff. Hower noting is written in stone.Embob88 wrote: Would it be a case of last in first out?
As to drastic cuts, it won't happen straight away as the job is very manual and therefore it will always need a high head count. For drastic cuts they'll either need more automation which takes time to happen, or a reduction in the laws that govern the postal system, and that's unlikely to happen without some severe political ramifications.
