It's a massive YES from me.
Just hope the rest of the office follow suit, not holding my breath though.
It will be interesting how yes voters react to any no voters after the strike (if we do).
This is the biggest vote we have been faced with for many years, and the repercussions will be felt for years to come.

I have noticed that some people have not received their ballot papers yet,is there going to be a period of time where if you don't receive your paper you can still vote? or are they being withheld somewhere?(me being cynical)

I went into work yesterday only to be told that one of the supervisors where I work is telling the staff on his shift to vote "no"and best of it, they are listening. I've explained to people on my shift what may happen to their T&Cs after 3 years if they vote "no" and they have assured me they will be voting "yes". I have also been told that the people on the other shift seem to think that their voting paper can be traced back to them and they will be sacked if they vote "no". Where this BS has come from I don't know?

There are serial numbers on the ballot papers,but they are 'Branch' serial numbers,not individuals.
That's how we know how branches have voted.....not individuals.

.....and if they did sack members because of how they voted on a secret and legal ballot it would be the very definition of an Unfair dismissal and would cost RM millions.

Sometimes I think people make things up when they have a stark choice between Yes/No - and they will offer anything up, to alleviate them from any personal responsibility for the outcome. Its a sad fact of life that some Managers (and yes even some Reps) use fear to get the result they want.

unfortunately corruption can prevail in any establishment, because humans are fickle creatures, and ultimately those empowered can easily abuse that power

therefore, integrity is paramount to success IMHO

But who knows what will come of it, the only people who could have done anything are the one's we deliver to everyday.

So welcome to the 5 day service (Mass layoffs), jacked up prices, and minimum wage for new employees (All good if you are a major share holder).
And I would really liked to be proved wrong on the above, but...

cos, and sorry for doing this - the workload, and absorption we striked agianst previously - got . . . absorbed - lets face it - I - like ME = I have no fatih in this union, non at all - have been on the picket line every time - and RM STILL do what they like, so we ask, whats the bliddy point??

The point is, If the union which is us, is no good then why has RM not already steamrolled in the 3yrs and the pay rise, because they would have if they thought they would get away with it,

They have not , so a YES vote is all we need , what do you have to lose with a YES vote, it does not mean we have to go on strike that is the last resort , if we the CWU get a yes vote then it is a bigger bargaining hand to negotiate with.

Not everyone got what they wanted and some lost out , but we will lose out if we have no job or at worse Minnimum T&C and zero hours then you will moan even more what is the union going to do about it,

I am bullied most days in trying to not get me to cut off ,because of RM inept delivery spans that are unequal in our office but i am hanging in there. If we dont have the CWU then I would be out of a job by now

moaning?? I sure as hell am not moaning - I'm only asking what the results of previous strikes were? what did we achieve?? nowt .

delivery spans in YOUR office are unequal?? - nationwide, natioinwide - I say it tiwice , cos thats the way it is - the delivery spans AREN'T equal, anywhere - the wee uni computer nerds with the georoute - hadn't a sodden clue - and we're all stuck with it

whats the union gonna do about that?
