My thoughts on this debacle

Lets be honest.

The government, have in tandem with Royal Mail, shafted us, the posties.

They have forced this through in double quick time, coincidentally timed to fit in with our strikes.

They guaranteed a dividend for investors, easy money right.

Labour should hang their heads in shame and remember why they were set up in the first place, that is for us the workers, the common man.

Come next election, let us all ensure we firstly vote (20% turnout isn't it normally?) ok 100000 posties won't make a massive difference but let's ensure that we don't vote for any of the three scheisters currently in each others pockets.

Secondly, those bastards who scab and cross our picket (odd exceptions accepted) lets not forget that either. Whilst the majority of us will stand there, fire on, with air in our lungs believing we are fighting for something , our futures, don't forget those who choose to be an "I'm alright jack"

Thirdly. The managers, these bastards deserve to be culled first, and as a shareholder I motion the vote that they go first.

In 20 years time you can tell your grand kids, we tried our best and stood up for ourselves.

Well said.....I think its quite sad really, one of the things that make us unique as a nation has been brought to an end, all that history disregarded without a proper debate, rushed through without any real consideration for the workforce.

It may well turn out to the best thing for RM going forward ( I doubt it) but the shabby way this has been handled has left a bad taste in my mouth......

Unfortunately as I live in an area where I cannot vote for any of the Parties that have shafted us Posties , I would like to suggest that all Posties bombard there local MP especially Labour and tell them that they and their families will never be voting for the party again.
