Every other day I get something from RM, shares, privatisation and general brain washing material.Why havnt we heard from the union? What I hear around here, is that , why bother to vote yes.I honestly think(if im wrong I'll streak around the office(not)) that the vote will be more close than the last vote.It seems the cwu is feeding on the 96% vote and not keeping in touch with the members......I hope im wrong :vcfo

I am certainly getting concerned as your experience matches mine at my office. I am going round talking about it and explaining why I think they should vote yes, but its getting wearing advancing the same arguments all the time to hear in response "what has the Union done for me", and the managers keep eyeballing me

.

I really think 2010 could bite us on the arse, the members see the rationale for the strikes but feel extremely let down by the CWU as an organisation. Still onward, fight the good fight.

Dave was asked this question at Birmingham .. his reply stating that CWU would never be in a position to compete in the amount of information pushed out by RM at times like these.

We need to focus on the facts, not the propaganda cum bullsh*t cum mis-information b*llocks that is being showcased by RM as the truth!

Hold your nerve .. vote YES in the ballot .. bring it on!

Fact number 1 Only a complete moron votes to weaken a union's bargaining position.

There are 364 other days in the year if you wish to criticise the union,pick one of those.

Do you really think Stan and Oliver sorry Billy and Dave have got the stomach for a real fight that would involve December strikes???!!!! They wouldn't want to upset the public would they! Most posties i know and work with have got the stomach for a fight but somehow i sense it has been a while since Big Billy and Dave have used their stomachs for a fight. Life is too easy for them and they are far removed from the daily struggles and tiredness that we face in our delivery offices. Even a lot of area reps are just Royal Mail minions in disguise. Most of them are more concerned about losing their fully paid release than fighting for the rank and file. A union with great members at foot soldier level but its leaders are a joke!!!!

Guess what I got today................yet another postcard from RM extolling the virtues of privatisation........tbh I think they may have over egged it, I mean even the dimmest amongst us must have some concerns over the need to keep pushing a busted flush.

Actually now having read it RM are extolling the virtues of not taking industrial action...........from their point of view of course.

Only the "Deal of the Century" that's all! Though I've never been sure from whose perspective that was. We must wait for the outcome of this encounter to see what terminology will be used to describe this coming settlement.
