As for the talk the talk b-locks, I think it's you that should be asking yourself that one. You're the one that's cocksure he's right and headquarters is wrong. As I say we ll see when the ballot result comes out whether you're right or not.

Re: CWU have failed us.
Of course but i'm not silly enough to believe that the issues that will engage and deliver a yes vote in say London with few part-timers and a solid branch and divisional structure will necessarily engage and deliver a yes vote in Newcastle,Edinburgh or Aberystwyth.chelmsfordpostie wrote:I'll be concentrating on getting a yes vote in my area. Very similar to what you'll be doing , surely ?.
There are real cracks in the unity of the union driven mostly by a disparity in the level and quality of Divisional and Branch representation, this ballot will depending on the direction it takes help to heal those cracks or split them wide open.
I don't like taking that chance with my future...it makes me very nervous.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: CWU have failed us.
Every Office/Function should have the same end state targets as every OPG in the country should be required to perform at the same level and as I have stated before there needs to be ceiling of 75Bs (with anything above triggering some kind of agreed incentive payment). The current performance levels are being artificially distorted by RM's inability to introduce accurate measures and control systems ... well to be brutally honest that there is their problem and CWU should not accept targets until it is sorted!, the additional hourage from early starters should be easy enough to identify (from signing on sheets) and it doesn't take a professor of arithmetic to include this in the EP calcs. RM have been developing PVs for what ... the past 30 years, traffic measurement is much better (due to mechanisation) and they still can't get things right ...Danelectro wrote:As long as its BSI/performance level office by office then its likely to be as you were with weak and strong areas and a myriad of interpretations. They let the cat out of the bag with the varying performance levels and that to me is part of whats driving B&H and H&S issues. My office has a false performance level due to a high percentage of early starters,Im sure if more started later then harassment in the office would increase and its not exactly absent now.

My post isn't going missing. Don't know about 3 letters, I suppose it depends on your view. Either way, it's kind of moot. RM are bombarding us, the CWU aren't. It's like we're an after thought.chelmsfordpostie wrote:Well I've had three letters, one of which was in the voice, so your post must be going missing. If your rep isn't do his or her job, do something about it. I cam only assume if you never see your rep, he must be from another office. So why don't you stand for the position in your office . You also obviously use the Internet so why not visit the cwu website , you'll find out all you need to know. The point is though, it's not headquarters fault if your local rep isn't doing his job.
I know for a fact headquarters have told every branch and local rep that they have to go out and meet the membership, our reps have done it , I suggest you get yours to do what they're supposed to be doing too.
My Rep is from my office. We shouldn't be chasing them, or info, about this. It should come to us.
After all, HQ want the right result. They are failing at the moment to get the message out to people, let alone in swaying the votes in the right direction.
At this point, I think it will be average turnout (maybe 65%), and a much closer result than Billy/Dave and HQ are expecting.
Sometimes, I wish I wasn't a Rep.

Put it this way we don't have a CWU rep on site but tomorrow we got Gary Simpson at our depot.
