Re: The "How was your day" thread.
On my way to my first delivery point some bloke called me over to show me something in the boot of his car.
He introduced his mate as one of Iraq's top chefs.
In a giant saucepan in the back of his car was lamb's heads, lots of lambs heads.
Cambuslang is a cultural goldmine.

Ditto. We are just about keeping on top of them in our office. Been doing parcels on overtime nearly every day for the last 4 weeks.Anonymouse wrote:Where are all these packets coming from![]()

Not good.
Still, by contrast, tomorrow can only be better.

Crap day. Put 2 of us on P & L jobs we don't know, didn't get out of the office until 10.30. Heavy day with loads of packets, ended up bringing a whole frame back.

Out delivering for 5HRS again in the baking sun. Sweat literally dropping off me.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Customer : "what time do you call this? " (in a sarcastic tone)
Me : " 14:51 "
Customer shrugs shoulders
Me " you can always call up and complain "

Yep knew my happy week wouldn't last
Left abandoned for 30 mins by driver so they could get their loops out the way and finish on time.
Soooooo
After they drive back to yard I go back out and complete.
Really glad I'm a floater
Will be somewhere else next week
Wonder if the driver will be wanting an early finish Fri and sat?
Hmmmmmmmmm
P.s I used the trolley cos the bags were mental heavy
Day off tomorrow though
Beer o clock

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Phone call at home on my day off for parcels. Best bit of o/t I've done in ages. No hassle from the boss, do my own thing and "do as much as you can, its already authorized". Music to my ears.
