hiya guys got an interview for parcelforce already a postie have been for a number of years down south. any idea on the process of the interview and what they ask you.
any help would be great guys thanks very much

Sounds similar to the post I was recently interviewed for, assuming that the same procedure is used nationwide then expect to answer questions you typically find on competency based application forms the questions I can remember are along the lines of

Tell us about an improvement you made
Working in a Team
Being Flexible
Coping with a Setback
Showing Resourcefulness

There were also a few about coping with shifts, manual handling, health and safety


From what I saw of the form there seemed to be points given for each answer so I suspect that it is people who score highest get the post(s)

Hi I have just passed my parcel force interview for an operative ( had interview last Wednesday got email today). The interview is very structured - set questions as already mentioned such as when have you suffered a set back and how did you overcome it , are you physically fit, how have you worked as a team to reach an objective. Then they had a seperate sheet with why is health and safety important and why do you want to work for Royal Mail and then any questions you may have. I had a load of questions planned but he covered them all before the interview! Good luck!

Just to add to what phizaklea posted after the e-mail to say you passed you will then get a phone call to offer you the job pending security checks and give you some more details
