MOYA GREENE, the chief executive of Royal Mail, is set to be handed a pay package worth more than £1.5m in a move that will inflame tensions between the company and unions over wages, pensions and an imminent £3bn privatisation.
The package, to be revealed in the Royal Mail’s annual report in the next few weeks, should make the Canadian-born executive the UK’s best-paid public sector boss. The government plans to float Royal Mail in London later this year.
Greene was paid £1.1m last year. This included a salary of £498,000, a bonus of £371,000, equal to 74% of her salary, £200,000 in lieu of pension, and benefits of £38,000.
In the year to March 2013, Greene was allotted the first tranche of a long-term bonus plan, based on her performance in the previous three years. The award will vest in March 2014.

Meanwhile in the real world people struggle to pay for food for their kids, pay their bills and worry about old age.
Shocking

Yes, amazing how a company can be deemed to have turned into profitability at the expense of it,s employees, in order to hand out yet another unearned bonus.

I fail to see how any human being's working year can be valued at £1.5 million more than another. It's obseen, immoral.

i find it really funny all this cr.p............. adam crozier suddenly turned round royal mail profits... so when Moya Greene joined the royal mail..................... royal mail was already making profit from the last puppets... crozier and leighton... so no Moya Greene has not turned the company around ...................... more lies again, and corruption...

I am guessing but I wouldn't be surprised if it rises by a factor of 1, ie 10 times.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets a bonus when we are privatised.
