The way you talk it's like you think management are paid to manage and organise workloads. :no no :Very Happy
It does appear that, all over the country, we seem to get one day with very little, and the next with an absolute boatload, with no rhyme or reason(or explanation from RM or manager(s)), as to why it is happening. Rant over.

Not a bad day, though having to adapt to new WCM(I think) operations. :evil/mad
Apparently advertisers prefer midweek so that's what they get.
They should stop sending all the crap out on a Saturday then :nervous

This Saturday was totally different from last Saturday, the bean counters do not understand reality, this is a service industry many variables, bureaucrats or managers as we call them can not or will not accept this.

Typical Monday delivery with the usual packets and tracked items but left office later than normal for a Monday due to Management attempting to get us to do our cut-off.. again.
Still took us our allotted time to complete the delivery too.
We've been in "talks" with management over this issue over the past week and they say the planners want it put back onto the delivery so they can check the times, or some such b/s and we told them to go get the walk-test report that was carried out a few months after we started this P/L lark and send it to the planners.. again, to remind them that we've already been through this lark over two years ago! :arrrghhh
Threatened to do the delivery to the actual original set-up prior to us rejigging the walk to make it more efficient for us. Management said why? So we said it saved time when we rejigged it to make it more efficient and also it took one hour off the planners timings but still left us about 2-3hrs over what could be achieved on the P/L delivery span. This resulted in us being walk-tested and the planners saying "Oh. It is a bit large isn't it!" :arrrghhh
This resulted in a huge chunk being removed from our walk and having it put down as a cut-off; To be done by a p/timer or as o/t by any brave soul who wants to do it.

More on this saga as it drags on.
Dom away at present so the lino's are trying to get this cut-off, and others put back on to deliveries. We've heard it's something to do with office revisions, but no real confirmation.
Still waiting on the rest of our bonus in our office for doing these revisions.. somehow I don't think we'll see that though.

Does RM actually trawl drop in centres for the brain dead and terminally feckless to look for potential management. Piss easy day totally f****d up by linos and I can guarantee they'll say something like ' oh we thought YOU were going to sort out your lack of box keys out with your driver who wasnt actually in the d.o. at the time.'

Not as long a wait as the 50 minutes I lost due to the driver not waiting for my bags as he had to deliver the bags of everyone who had f****d off out earlier than my start time.

2 long stands for no good reason in less than a week. God help us come the revision in a couple of months.

The "wise ones" in our office decided nobody needed keys anymore and took the board down. Threw all the keys into a massive plastic bag, so now they have to rout for em. :arrrghhh

Momentum carried me round a corner right into the path of some wife walking her border collie. Knew instantly from the dogs low stalking stance I was in trouble. Owner started to haul in the dogs extendable leash but too little too late bit me on the waist. Thankfully the gathered material of my fleece took the force of it so no damage done. Got the usual profound apologies, dog hates posties, usually more prepared etc, then she was away admonishing the dog in a naughty doggie way.

Monday was like a Tuesday, Tuesday was a quiet Tuesday. I wonder what Wednesday will bring as its been the heaviest day for the last few weeks.

EDIT - and the answer was, not too bad. I even managed to get a lift back in a van and then found that someone had thrown the rest of my D2Ds off for me!
