help with learning a new area quickly

hey everyone i've been in the job for the past six months and really enjoying it but i really don't know the area that well at all that i work in and sometimes i can get proper lost :(

this won't be too bad but i cover any walk where the normal person is off, which could be a day or a few weeks, after one or two days on a walk its all ok.
dose anyone have any tips on not getting lost when doing a new walk

If you have a smart phone with GPS then google maps is a help.

Google maps or old school area a-z
I went onto packets at Christmas
Couple of streets I didn't know
I heart Google street view :nana
