Woke up with a killer of a migraine this morning. Couldn't get through on the phone so made the 1-minute walk to the office to tell them 'no chance'. Might not seem like a long walk but when the sun is out and your migraines are photosensitive, I felt like a vampire. Felt sick, heavy on my feet by the time I got home. 1000mg of codeine and 9 hours in bed later, I feel like Alice in Wonderland. Am about to pop out to get some food. I can't eat during a migraine because it just comes straight back up.

Had them in the past. Really wipe you out after they have passed, don't you think? Hope you get over it quick, not a nice thing.

Nearly forgot, really busy as expected, although strangely not too bad for packets. Sun was shining bright and really quite warm today.

Is Friday the new Tuesday? Mine was!
Very light for a Friday and not many packets either, weather getting warmer and now a long weekend for me - back on Tuesday then my day off on Wednesday. And then back to heavy D2Ds judging by what was on my frame this afternoon.

Yeah, even after they're gone, it takes me a good few days to recover from the experience. Like today, back at work, feeling no pain, but it was still a little bit of a struggle just to function normally. I'm lucky really because since the doctors prescribed me the codeine, the worst of the pain can be handled. Nowadays I end up with a normal headache (which is still unpleasant), plus the shakiness, sickness and photosensitivity. That might not sound very good but when I was 13/14, I used to have really severe migraines that blinded me in my right eye and lasted for a good 12-18 hours.heapsy wrote:taurus88 wrote:Woke up with a killer of a migraine this morning. Humped today. Tons of everything and wet and windy. I do love this job. (Not).
I'm on a duty that I've never done and it does annoy me when folks complain that they've got the wrong mail through their door but they don't have a door number. If getting the right mail is important to you then spend a couple of quid on some stick on door numbers or use a cheap biro you fecking moaning bar stewards.
I hate my customers some times. I really do.

Yep, same here. Totally "normal" estate til u get to 8...then it's 8A, nothing on 9 or 10, or they 9A/9B?
Use the fag money to buy a number/name or draw the number on the wall/door.
( Maybe they can only count up to eight?)

Nice weather.
Lumpy mail today... packets all over the place. Tracked items from the start, but only 3 S/F's, mail was not heavy.. 4 trays of sequenced, 5 trays of flats.
could do with a nice quiet day tomorrow and get done early for the weekend BH.

Had to hide from a dog.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
