Think that Royal Mail is bad? Wait until you see its privatised successors

The important task of getting crucial and confidential letters to people on time is jeopardised by profit-oriented thinking that prioritises getting postmen back to the depot to meet targets.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Dispatches

On tonight C4 8 pm should be a good watch.
With shoppers increasingly relying on private parcel companies to deliver online purchases, Dispatches goes undercover to find out why couriers sometimes fail to deliver.

Won't we just be tarred with the same brush? We are a parcel company so....we abuse them?

Especially the mail left unattended. I think Joe Public see Royal mail regardless. Almost identical colours don't help.

I think RM should pop into UK Mail Bournemouth and check to see if all the Yorkies and Shrouds are ours. There was loads of them.
Didn't look good for them at all.
Let's see how TNT do.

TNT bring yourself back to the depot and never mind the letters you have still to do as we can't be arsed paying any overtime and the mail can wait= RM next step. :no no

It's quite an irony that in TNT, it's the manager's that do the cutting off. :Very Happy

The fact is TNT posties could dump mail at EVERY single doorstep, as we also deliver tnt's dsa items people wont accept it wasn't Royal Mails fault.
The shuts are very similar to ours too, with customers turning up at our callers only to be told, it's tnt down the road.
What would you say if a tnt postie stopped you for directions??

A driver did once. I couldn't be bothered so I told him that my manager had told me not to help any of our competitors. :left: :left: :left:
