She couldn't understand why I wouldn't redeliver it for her.
Got one of these on my delivery too [Hermes courier].. he just loves doorstepping all over the place and puts the cards through doors saying "package left in your secure porch"
No porch but just a door that faces the street.. so anyone walking by could have the package(s) away if they were that way inclined.
Also no details on the card.. just a door number!

Come across those types of notes all the time, they make not a jot of difference. It gets 739d or (very rarely) left with a neighbour. if duty holder wants to fart about with special unofficial arrangements with his punters, fine. Not me chummy, I have enough bother already with 5 different walks, 5 sets of missing keys, 5 mystery d2d allocations per week.

So what might be a packet/parcel/whatever at one address might not be at another.
If you can just stick it through the letterbox - why count it?
Conversely - it might be little, but if it is too big for a small letter box, it gets counted.
Very true but it should be up to the postie to decide (small packet will not go through a really small letterbox) but the planners just ignore and they then wonder why we don't trust them.

Cheeky Cow No 1: Got to house no.27 today and a letter was hanging out of the door, looked at the address on it and as I thought it was left for me to take. I left it where it was hanging out of the door and moved onto the next house. Woman comes out, says 'do you not take these?', I say 'well I'll take it for you now but I can't go round taking letters out of peoples letter boxes can I?'. She says 'Oh I was told that is how it works in the village if you can't get to a postbox!!'. I'm thinking 'It's 12:30 you have 4 hours to walk to the f***ing box that is 5 minutes away'.
Ten minutes later Cheeky Cow no. 2: Delivered her post as normal (this is house no.43) walk half way back up her drive and hear the door open behind me and a woman shouting at me. I look round shes waving a letter. I'm thinking f**k a misdelivery it's all the pressure I'm under, but no she says 'can you take these for me' and hands me two f***ing letters. I'm thinking 'f**k me village idiots'. The postbox is right outside her house and she had the audacity to wait at her door not bring the letters out to me but wait for me to trudge back up her driveway, and my toes were hurting.
Mail is down , even with doing all but half of saturdays d2d's finished at 12:30, hardly any packets...
it was the same last wednesday and thursday as well..
I really hate being a part time reserve and coming in to see the full timer working there day off on their duty.
Can't they be put onto a random round if they want the overtime?
I'm getting tired of being moved around most days because of this. It's alright if people are still in to help me tie down/tell me where boxes are etc, but most have run out the door by then.
