New small & medium parcel rates
I cannot help wondering which very clever and overpaid employee of the Royal Mail thought up this recent public relations and business disaster

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Most posties were also totally surprised by this move to increase rates and i can assure you those of us on the front line will not see any of the money.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

It is sad that Royal Mail could not capitalise on the e-commerce boom.krussel wrote:Most posties were also totally surprised by this move to increase rates and i can assure you those of us on the front line will not see any of the money.
The majority of stuff I send is large letter/small parcel format which I will continue to send via RM.
However, had a large packet (Medium Parcel) to send today to a customer. Hermes wanted 7.02 with signature. The equivalent RM (let's say 2nd class recorded) would have been 14.45. So economically it's a no brainer...

It seams to me as if Royal Mail doesn't want the larger items! But to totaly price them out is beyond me! It not as if its even giving people a choice!harry84 wrote:It is sad that Royal Mail could not capitalise on the e-commerce boom.krussel wrote:Most posties were also totally surprised by this move to increase rates and i can assure you those of us on the front line will not see any of the money.

I think they expect that people will just follow their link to PFW and send it with them.
