Deutsche Post has complained to Russia over some 500 tons of undelivered packages sent from Germany, the Russian newspaper Kommersant reported on Tuesday.

The backlog of mainly orders placed to German shopping websites has been growing at an alarming pace because of staff cuts at Russia‘s customs and postal services, the newspaper said.

Deutsche Post has filed a complaint with its Russian counterparts and demanded improvements to staffing levels.
