Still doing D2D's from LAST week as they were late in due to Bank Hol...apparently.
So, with that, tracked, specials, recordeds, schools backlogs and this weeks D2D's, was a bit hectic...and bleeding FREEEEZZZZING with a N.E Winds.

Manic day! Didn't get out until 10.30 as my partner doesn't start until 9 and nobody had boxed his frame up. Had loads of flats from the council for nearly every door and loads of parcels, had to cut off at 2.30 and bring 2 pouches of mail back as my partner had to pick his son up from school. Manager not happy as nobody was informed this morning that we may be bringing mail back. I would have normally gone back out and claimed the O/T but I had an appointment so couldn't. Told we may get it in the neck tomorrow, but as my finish time is 2 and his 2.30 I don't see why we would. :nervous

Plenty on today, as expected. Packets everywhere. Dry and warm, even got a bit of sun.

How come before the Transformation, two people cud do 2 rounds.
But now, 2 people together are only capable of doing 1 and 3/8 rounds???
The rest being left as cut-offs.
Happening every day...with the Usual Suspects.

Because its not 2 old style rounds cobbled together.

Its 2 old rounds, plus large packet, plus tracked, plus specials, plus loading, plus minor vehicle maintenance, and of course the time spent moving between loops. Top tier management forget that.

Quite agree.

Tracked, large packets plus all the other things to do - vehicle checks etc, moving to start points of the next loop all adds time. Plus dead time when walking the loop. Some parts on mine are about 2-3mins.. due to the nature of the loops and location.

And our P&L delivery is more than two deliveries. The cut off on it is over 2.5 hrs alone - on a light day!

We had it tested a few months after we started it and the planners comment. "Oh it is a bit big isn't it".

A bit! :arrrghhh

So if we had to do that we'd be leaving at around 10:30-11am and getting back, each day at around 5pm, approx!

If you broke the two deliveries down it would still take you more than 4 hrs for each one using the old method - travelling to and from the office and also to the secure lockup to get the next bag etc.

Out at 9 and back at 12.15. Had a speedy partner today as my usual has his day off. As I suspected he's not been doing his fair share hence the late returns and cut offs.

Because its 2 rounds plus a fifth of another round 1300+ houses and everything else, plus trying to find anything in a combo that is stacked to the roof.
