Cant track package in Portugal

I have a package coming in and i would like to know wich company is doing your distribution in Portugal so i won't miss it!!

It's not GLS because i've tried it and it shows no data. I even called and they say they're tracking numbers never start with an "L" and always with an "R"
Any others i can try? pls?

if its not GLS (which is owned by Royal Mail) then it will be your own National Postal service - CTT I think.

The problem is neither one of them is showing my package on their websites.
I called them both and CTT said they're not delivering royal mail packages anymore and GLS said they don't have a package my my tracking number on it.
In the Royal mail website it says my package is already in Portugal.
What do i do now?

Could it be waiting for customers clearance - its only been in Portugal for a few days - I'll be honest GLS does seem slow in some countries.

LY689178065GB is the UK tracking number which will still be on the package. It might not have been scanned into Protugal as yet (tracking info just says dispatched there on 4th). It probably is GLS and yes, their numbers would always end with an R because the country code at the end would be PR rather than GB. But that's if they put their own tracking number on, or it's coming FROM Portugal to the UK. There's a possibility that they've put a different tracking number onto it, but Royal Mail (or you) clearly haven't been informed as to what that number is.

We can only suggest waiting until the time has passed that was indicated by the sender and then getting the sender to put in a claim for a lost item if it doesn't appear.

I called and they said it doesnt START with an L and they have no record of a package coming from the UK with that tracking number.
I will wait but this sucks and it's not the first time one of my packages is "lost". It's easy for you to say "file a claim about a lost parcel" but you know it will take forever to solve IF it's solved and the custumer is always the one "burned" not to use the word i'm wanting to use right now!!! Besides this was ordered and i'm on a schedule to get it solved

How can i place a call from Portugal to the UK to talk to someone about this issue?

GLS only handle International Signed For in Europe not Airsure, we still use CTT for that. Item was only despatched to Portugal on the 4th so likelihood is it hasn't passed through customs yet and that is why there is no information and no scans. Give it a bit more time and you should have it soon.

Nobody disagrees with you; however you do realize that this is an unofficial forum and the people helping you to the best of there knowledge and ability are doing so in their spare time?

Your item is an Airsure item and as such should be fully trackable on http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; although you may get more info with the Portuguese CTT.

I know it's easy to say but in my experience this should pop up in Portugal over the next couple of days. If it has not arrived you are covered up to £ 50, unless you took out extra compensation.
