royal mail /police/security for postal theft

hi,can anyone tell me if there is a contact /who i can contact ref a postal theft?although it happened just over 2 years ago....an item similar to mine has came to my attention on another site .this item was confirmed by langley back then it was in their posesion due to un correct/not full postal code.a couple of days later i was informed by langley this item was lost no longer there! the person comunicating with put it in a round a bout way it was nicked!!
anyway i still have the postal reg postpapers tracking number etc address from then and i would like to find out if this address has had more than 1 problem with items being lost or more!!
btw i also have scans of my item i posted and scans of the item which is exactly like mine being sold by exactly the same person who said they did not recieve it in the first place.
any help in pointing me in the right direction with postal security police or what ever is used in cases like this.

what i am saying is langley confirmed they had it then they confirmed it was missing./lost/stolen/.......fast forward 2 years item now seen on another website being sold by the same person i sold it to in the first place!!now all i can think is how did he get the same item after langley confimed to me it was now missing/lost/stolen...
dont think there is any need to change the title

You obviously had your suspicions regarding the buyer otherwise you would not of been 'watching' them all this time. I suggest you take it up with paypal/credit card company regarding reimbursement/fraud.

no i was not watching them all time as you put it,if one uses a website on a regular basis then one might come across something that might look the same.in my case i was not looking,in fact i had put the problem behind me untill i saw the same item,and i mean same item.ok its not the mona lisa but hey, having been how would you ?...duped out of a 3 figure sum then seeing the same item by the same person who said they did not recieve it so claimed there money back!

If the buyer claimed their money back from you then shouldn't you have claimed compensation for your lost item from Royal Mail (or, if overseas, from the postal service you originally sent the item with)?

From your previous posts you were implying that a RM worker from HWDC had 'nicked' the item. The truth being customer services not being able to answer your question at the time told you 'looks like its been nicked'. When infact it was delivered to an unscrupulous buyer who you are suspicious of. This is not a RM/POSIS issue, you need either to claim money back from Paypal/Credit Card firm or take it to a small claims court.

yes i did claim i got a measly 40 odd euros....and this will tell you i am in a country which does not have an agreement with rm on lost items.

customer service first day admits they have it at hwdc due to not having a full postcode of all things (last letter i think was missing)then next day was told item was missing not posted.as i said before going through the long process of twitter and trying to get a full answer was beyond believe then once made my claim at my local post office overseas,1 min round the corner spoke to them they checked where it was on there computer and the same answer was hwdc.they put a request in to find out where it was and answer came back lost!so i got compensated from that.can you tell me if i type in the original tracking number will the info still be there?because once i got my measly compensation i just got on with things .

hi i have a non uk tracking number plus it wsa done the first week in jan 2012, tried my country tracking site but nothing shows,do you have anything to help?

it doesnt give me a space to type my number in....just shows me what type of uk tracking services there is.
