Implications on mail after the UK's exit from the EU

Hello, I recently purchased an item from the UK to be shipped here to me in California. The seller sent it out this past Monday which was the 25th. The method used was Airsure, and usually when it says "Your item, posted on 25/03/13 with reference ***************** has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas." it usually updates that it has gotten on a plane and is heading to a USPS sorting facility here in the states. But it seems that it hasn't even left the facility in the UK.

I'm just wondering how long till I should be worried about my item not moving before I contact the seller? Like I said normally it will usually take one day from when the seller drops off the item at the post office in the UK till it updates that it's headed over here. :sad:

There are major delays here with things being shipped abroad at the minute. It should be OK, just a little bit delayed.

Thanks for responding! :D Well that's relieving, I thought my package might have been misplaced or stolen or something haha. If you don't mind me asking what's going on atm that is causing delays?

Not enough staff to deal with the inward/outward mail, it's as simple as that.
