Despatched Oversees
Hi not sure if this is the right subject title but it all I could think to call it.
I have sent a parcel to Singapore i paid the post via paypal. I took it the post office they weighed it again checked everything and the guy accepted it. He very much a guy who sticks to the rules unlike other post officers I've used before.
I have tracked the parcel but its saying something I don't recognise i have upload a screen shot to show you if you can let me know what it means. I am worried it being sent back to me.
Its saying Despatchable tooversize/weight- RTS Heathrow Worldwide DC (What does this mean)
an hour earlier it was saying Despatchable to warrington mail centre

Re: Despatched Oversees
The time difference is because one scanning gun downloaded before the other. Yes is does look like the item is coming back to you because its either oversize or overweight for the service. HWDC are very strict on size and weight, they will return items even if its only a couple of grams or centimetres over.

Re: Despatched Oversees
length 25cm width 12cm roughly depth 35cm ive sent bigger boxes before and not had an issue
I was sending empty aluminium bottles ive sent hundreds out before.
I did get a strange message from PayPal saying my postage label had been cancelled but ive not been refunded by royal mail could that be the issue? But i didnt get this until after i sent the parcel and nothing was said to me in the post office

Re: Despatched Oversees
in that case the size is fine and the item is not one of the new items on the prohibited items list so its probably going to be down to the weight and postage not being correct, as long as you put your name and address on the parcel as a return address you should get it back in a few days and it will state the exact reason it was refusedtinkertaylor wrote:length 25cm width 12cm roughly depth 35cm ive sent bigger boxes before and not had an issue

Re: Despatched Oversees
But am I going to be able to get a refund ? It's cost me £30+ to post it and I don't want to lose that sort of money

Re: Despatched Oversees
Thanks for helping anyway at least you have been able to prove me with some information strange since the post office confirmed the weight on postage label before they accepted it.

Re: Despatched Oversees
It'll come back with a little sticker on it telling you what the problem is and to take it to your post office. You might be able to take the issue up with them or you might have to pay up and then make a complaint to the PO.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?
