Absolutely horrendous - yesterday was extremely busy, today was worse. Council tax, various ballot papers, United Utilities materials. Far too much for sequencing machines to deal with - some duties walksorted, some got 2 full boxes of sequenced mail at 9 AM. Decision to do that made by SOM apparently! Line
'Managers'
looking even more bewildered than usual.

Death by packets! Crap day. Made worse by the number of mis-sorts off the IPS frame. At least it didn't rain - but it is forecast for tomorrow. Still no new contract, but I did get a pay slip and a pay rise so I guess they want me.

got threatened by an OPG to be taken in the office for asking questions as to why he comes in early, does'nt take a break, bullies his P&L partners, won't/don't use the LWT and finishes over 2.5hours early.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Had a heavy packet, had to walk it to door as cannot park outside. Pressed doorbell a few times (prob not working). Banged on door. Waited. Wrote out a red card. Back to van with heavy parcel (packet wtf). Went back to post more letters, door was open. Walked past it continued posting letters to doors further down. 'excuse me mr postman'.....kept walking (I'm a bit deaf)....'mr postman'....kept walking....guy catches up with me. 'hi you left this you have a packet for me?', 'yes it is in the van did you not hear me banging on your door I stood there writing out that red card you've got in your hand'. guy mumbles 'oh I was erm out the back'. 'Well you'll have to wait ten minutes now for the parcel as its in the van and I need to post these letters first'. him - 'oh ok'. Thing is I knew this guy was in he never answers the f***ing door just pisses me off. I did give him his parcel but thought about just driving off with it, I mean he had the 739 to collect. Oh well.

Felt really unwell so rang up about 05.00 telling them I wouldn't be in. Got a call about 9.30 from the line manager. She asked what was up and then tried to get me in, saying they would take half the round off me etc.

I know you well enough to know that if you say you don't feel well - you must have both legs and an arm missing !!! Hope you took the time you needed to recover :)heapsy wrote:Felt really unwell so rang up about 05.00 telling them I wouldn't be in. Got a call about 9.30 from the line manager. Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Probably the lightest day of the week for me, and my latest contract finally turned up. Loads of signed for and all but the final one was in - that always seems to be the case for me recently. Got back before the rain came.
